The winery, wich has also an organic farming, has a total surface
of 18 hectares. Six of them are Brunello Vineyards, one hectar is
Rosso di Montalcino, six hectares are olive grove and five are wood
and grazing. It is situated on the North East hillside of Montosoli
at about 300 metres of altitude.To obtain a high quality wine the
grapes production is just 40 quintals per hectare. Such low yeld
is got through subsequent grape thinning out which are still hand
made. Le Chiuse Brunello di Montalcino is made and aged
with traditional style. There is a long soaking during and after
the fermentation , about 15 days , and then aging is made in big
oak barrels (20-30-50 hectolitres) Here wine rests for 3 of the
total aging 5years. Le Chiuse Brunello is demanded
for his typicallness, his traditional characters his fruity-freshness
that remains for many years. It is exported all over the world and
appreciated for constancy, high-quality and longevity. |
